The AC condenser with least amount of repairs, in my personal experience as an HVAC technician, are Trane, Lennox and Rheem, and some of the older Carrier. Even though Rheem is rated number one on consumer reports, it has had its problems that are common to all other brands. Now, most all AC condenser manufactures offer the same amount of warranty for residential units which is 10 years parts.
In my opinion, the Trane AC condenser is a pretty good quality for the buck. These condensers are of heavier construction than the other cheaper brands and pretty quiet, with the least amount of service calls for repair.
Other AC condenser brands are somewhat decent now a days, probably because of the high warranty offered by AC Condenser manufactures, but they do tend to have minor issues. The good thing is that under warranty, any service contractor should be able to obtain the AC condenser part(s) for free during the 10 year period. The only bad part is paying for the service call and the labor, which sometimes can be more expensive than the AC condenser parts.
Most AC condenser manufactures such as Carrier, Rheem, Goodman, and other cheaper brands, use the same parts. The Copeland scroll compressor is a decent brand that is used in these AC condenser manufactures.
